Buffy by Aimee Johnston / Momma

Buffy,

Back in 1993, I was 22 yrs old and beginning my life. I needed a little family of my own. I saw an ad for free kittens in the paper. The friend I brought with me wanted to stop by to see the free puppies for his brother. Needless to say, we stopped by the free puppies first & we went home with 2 beautiful white pups. You were supposed to go home with my friend, but things didn’t work out that way… I decided to keep you, along with your sister. So, the wonderful journey began…

You were so tender hearted. Everyone loved you. Although you loved your Mom, you tended to love guys. You were very unique. You didn’t like playing fetch, but you were the only one who would sing… I can still hear you “Wo Wo WOOOOOOoooo!” So precious!!! You loved it.
Through the years we both took care of each other. I will never forget the fun we had. You were always so well behaved. When the other dogs dug out of the fence, you would always stay home… I hope this was a sign that you were happy right where you were.

After 14 1/2 years of life and losing some of your sight and hearing, you still remained happy. Up to a few months ago, you would still wag your tail. I think you lost your will to live when your sister, Spunky, passed away just a month before you. I pray that you are together again…running and playing just as you did years ago.

I will never forget the love in your eyes and all the kisses that you would give me
daily. Even though you were resting, you would still get up to give me a goodnight kiss. That was very special to me. I also loved the way you would put your front paw on our feet when standing beside us. It was your unique way of showing affection.

Thank you for all the love you have given me. For 10 years of my life, you were my ONLY family. You protected me. Then Daddy came along and of course, you loved him. I am very thankful that you lived to meet our new baby girl, Bella. You were so sweet to her… and she loved petting you & grabbing at your ears. I will always tell her stories of you guys. You were my kids also. I love you…. you will always remain in my heart. I will never forget your sweet spirit. I hope to be with you again one day.
I LOVE YOU!
