Our sweet boy Bun-Bun has died today. We had his love for seven years and cannot even think about not petting him and seeing his face. We lost the best friend the most loving companion the sweetest and most handsome pet rabbit that anyone could ever have loved.
We buried him along side his companion Velvet who preceded him in death by a little over 1 year. We buried him in their favorite burrow next to his loving partner his Velvet. We put ferns beneath him and above him some kale Italian parsley and a big slice of banana in a bowl with him (these were his favorite snacks) and a very large fully-bloomed red rose next to his head cut from our rose bush. He loved to eat rose petals sometimes.
We are lost without him. We are empty and alone. We will never ever forget him. We know that he is not alone that he is with Velvet and they are now together again. But there is that empty place in our hearts that will forever be empty without our boy our Bun-Bun.
