I got Buster when he was seven weeks old.
He fit in the palm of my hand. What a beautiful little boy,
he was always ready to show his love and always begging
for affection. Just call his name and he was at your side waiting to
lick you and get petted. Weather he was awake or asleep he wanted some
part of his body to be touching you.
Then Buster started getting sick coughing shaking not eating.
I took him to the vet and they did what they had to do.
I was able to take him home he was on medicine daily he started eating
again he seem to be much better but not for long.
He started failing. I took him back to the vet he had a collapsed lung.
He stayed at the vets for one and a half weeks on IV and medication.
Once again he was doing better and so happy to see me as he was
every day. He would only eat home cooked food so every day
I would cook something he liked and bring it to him twice a day.
He would take a lick or small taste but that’s all.
He couldn’t wait to give and get that loving no matter how sick he was.
Once again he started eating and getting more active so we took
him home again hoping this was the end of the horror.
But it wasn’t so. After another week or so it all started again
but this time it was even worst.
He was drinking bowls and bowls of water and his urine
smelled strong and awful. Back to the vet we went he stayed
another week on the IV heating pad and medicine and Oxygen.
It was time to let him go.
I loved and still love him very much.
Buster was nine years old.
I miss him so much.
