My dear Lady I lost you to cancer 6 yrs.
ago but you are still forever strong in my heart.
I loved you so much and you are the only daughter I will ever have.
The yr. of 82 I went to the local humane society to get a kitty
for a companion for my other cat
but when I walked into the doggy room I spotted you right away
and we both looked at each other and fell in love at first sight.
Our life didn’t start out too well at first.
You were 8 mnts. old and was not house broken and
I know you were abused before I met you but we over came that.
You went where ever I went and we were together all the time.
I got mad at you one time and told you to run away.
I was not serious but you took it that way and
you did run away for a week in the coldest part of the winter.
I never gave up looking for you and regret that I told you to go.
Someone took you in otherwise
I know you would never have survived the cold.
One week latter my other dog woke me in the night barking.
I listened and heard a faint wimpier outside.
I ran to the door and there you were.
We hugged and snuggled the rest of the nite.
I never said anything mean again to you.
We had many great yrs. together but at the age of 14
you were diagnosed with cancer and could not go on any longer.
The next morning I was going to take you in to have the vet
ease you out of your pain but you didn’t make it.
You passed away in my arms at midnight.
That is when part of me left to.
I will always love you Lady and you are in my thoughts every day.
I will never forget you and I know I will never find another dog like you.
I love you honey
Love mom
