You came to us with so much love
During the Spring of your life
Endearing and forever faithful
You protected us with all your might.

Never wavering, never fearing
always watchful as your were
always loving, always knowing
that somehow – you’d always be there.

But in the cycle of life
your time, too, did come to end
as we watched you peacef’ly drift away
to where God’s creatures go to heaven.

There were times I’d think about you
and all that you had done
and wondering if I’d loved you enough
for all you gave in return.

So now we live without you
on a wing and a prayer
and knowing that some day
again, we’ll see each other.
