With bleeding hearts, we put our baby girl, Leslie, down this afternoon. She went into her eternal sleep at 12:15 pm peacefully and comfortably. She lived to be 17 years and 3 months old. It was done at her vet’s office. They set up a room for us and we brought candles and the best picture of her. I hope she is happy for the care we had given her during the past 17 years as her foster parents on earth. I hope that now she is free of illness and suffering. I hope she is happy to see her brother, Andy, at the Rainbow bridge and they can play together again.
There are her toys, food bowls, litter boxes and……….around the house that remind us of Leslie and Andy. It seems like just yesterday when we first brought them home, but it had been 17 years. A family was created then and is broken now. During those years, we lived our life evolving their needs. They had been our major priorities. We miss both of them tremendously. We wish we can have another chance to pat them, feel their soft fur, and listen to that soothing purr.
They are now living in our hearts, forever and ever….
We love you and miss you,
