It’s been 2 months since my Cleo’s sudden death. I had expected to have her for many years – not the 2 short years we had instead. Cleo was special to me beyond words…and she received more of my love and attention than some of my other animal companions. One day shortly after she died, I was meditating and was positive that I could feel her sitting next to me. I asked her what was the lesson to be learned from her passing? The answer I received was to “spread the love” I felt for her to the rest of my ‘fur family’. They too, needed as much love showered on them as I felt for her. It wasn’t that I didn’t already love my other cats and dogs. Cleo’s message was to spread the love and to make each one feel as loved as she was loved.
Now I make sure that each of my animals is loved the way they each should be loved…and each one is returning it to me. It took the passing of my beloved little Cleo to remind me that the love you give multiplies in its return to you! Thank you Cleo for the gift of your love to me.
