An angel in disguise came to my door one day.
She captured our hearts,
our love, and our souls, someway.

Maybe through her play,
a waggin tail, a cuddling caress,
and ebony eyes of unconditional love.

She became my baby, my children’s sister,
my husbands friend, right through the end.
We miss her so, but must let go.

Should we have kept her,
how would she know,
that her fate was to be, someone’s angel,
all over again.

I see her from time to time,
not in your hands, or mine.
But there she’ll be, playing all carefree,
in Gods garden paradise you see.
