She was only 5 weeks old when I brought her home
from the pet store. She was a beautiful gray with white Tabby kitten.
I paid only 5.00 for her. For which back in 1984 was quite a steal.
My son who was in 10th grade did not like cats.
He favored dogs but this kitten was for me.
It was time for my son to come home from school so I put Missy,
my new kitty in the laundry room until I could tell him I had
purchased a new kitten.
He came inside and began to tell me about his day when
Missy put her long tail under the laundry room door and he spotted it.
He said you got a cat. I’m not taking care of her she’s yours.
I then let Missy out and she jumped right up on my sons chest
and licked his face.
He melted and she was his as much as mine. Smart kitty.
We had her 17 years and love everyday with her. She was precious
and loving thru out her life.
On May 11th 2001 I had to have her euthanized because of advanced
bladder cancer. She hid her illness very well until about 1 month
before she died.
I miss her so much and will never, ever forget my
sweet little sweetheart darlin.
Good bye sweet Missy.
Your loving Mom
