My heart is beating steadily
Even though I’m close to tears.
I miss your prescence already
As if you have been gone for years.
We were so alike my friend
And you know I really cared.
I loved the fact we were always side by side
Our heart beats, we shared.
I used to hold you close to me.
I never wanted to let you go.
Although the day you were called
You had to leave, I know.
Its funny the relationships between pet and human
Are usually the best around.
When me and my pet were united
I knew jsut what I’d found.
A companion and a listener
Someone to be on your side
A friend that you could cry to
Behind them you could hide.
But when your time was done with me
I was upset, but I cannot moan.
Your free from pain, waiting up there
But for now, my heart beats alone.
