I remember the day we brought you home. You chewed up my favorite sweater. You were a playful puppy. You were so happy. When you were 8 the doctor diagnosed you with cancer. He said you had a couple months or a year to live. But you lived so much longer. When you were 13 my mom said in two weeks we had to put you to rest. (This is in 2002) I felt the whole world giving up on me. Early before we took you to the doctor, I read you a story called “Dog Heaven”.

I could tell you were trying to hear. (deaf) Well when the time came I went crazy. The doctor gave you the shot and within 5 minutes you were gone. I really didn’t get to say goodbye. Now I am saying it.
“Goodbye Kelly, I love you”

Now it is Dec. 15, 2003. I have another cocker except he is black and white. We love him very much and hope he is happy and
will be a very healthy dog.

I think of you all the time Kelly.
