Hello, my owner, did you Forget
I haven’t had my supper yet.

I waited while you were away,
I know you went to work today.

You’ve been home an hour of two.
I had hoped I might play with you.

I barked but – you never came
To stroke me or say my name.

The sun was bright I could not hide,
My doghouse is not like yours inside.

My chain is short to take a few steps.
I know your mind doesn’t forgets.

My water pan, too empty
I ‘d like a cool drink just like you.

I sigh, I cry this will end
While I’m waiting for my friend….
