Brandi was a black and white Shih Tzu, our very first of the breed. I did not tell my husband that I was getting him and kinda just sneaked him in the house one Friday night in April of 2000. My husband got mad and left the house for a while. Finally as the months went by, Brandi became my husband’s and my favorite dog. He was so special.

He loved to bark at airplanes and especially helicopters as they flew over the back yard. He was very protective of us. He loved to ride with us anywhere we went.

A couple of years ago he was diagnosed with cardiomyopathy and CHF. He did well most of the time with lots of drug therapy and vet bills, but on Dec. 27 he was breathing really shallow and fast and we knew he did not need to suffer anymore. On Dec 28 we made that awful decision to end his suffering. It was very painful to do this to our good and faithful friend, but we did it because we loved him so. We will miss you Brandi and you will always be that special dog we had the privilege of having in our lives. I know you are in heaven and you are well and happy now.

Miss you sweet Brandi,
Jane
