I fell in love with 5 little kitties that momma had in our yard.
I felt so bad when I had to take them to keep them from going wild. I found a “no kill” animal shelter that said they would find good homes. That day finally came 2 days ago How I wish they didn’t have to go. The drive to the vet was the hardest thing; the look on their faces still affect me, but that is where I had to leave them, so they could get ready to go.
Now they wait in a kennel at Petsmart, while people come and go, and hopefully that someone special will want to take them home.
It bothers me that they have to be there, guess it’s better than where they could be, so for now I get by telling myself, “I know I did the right thing.” This poem I dedicate to 4 gals and a guy… “Little Little” “Batman” “Squirly” and “Grayboy” (we thought there were 2 boys)and the clumsy cute calico that I never named, you’re loved and missed and the lord keep you safe until we meet again! We’ll play with meese mouse!
