The tears burned as the streamed down my cheek
one after another, you leaving me made me so weak.
You were crying in pain and I knew it was time
but I wasn’t ready to say goodbye.
So as we told the vet what had happened and how
we told him what we wanted to do now.
So I kissed your head and said goodbye
just remember that you’ll always be mine.
I know that no amount of crying or my pain can bring you back
but always remember that I love you, Zack.
