I will never forget the first time I saw you
Your little black nose and sad looking eyes.
They told me you were lonely and needed a friend,
and in my heart you would always be my friend.

The love and joy that we shared.
The walks and rides in the car,
Those are the memories I will always share.

Now you are gone, to a place
where there is no pain,
You can run and be
a youthful puppy once again.
I will miss hearing you bark,
waking me up to go for a run,
or coming up and laying next to me.

The day before you left,
you came and laid your head on my knee
and I could look in you eyes and
see the pain and knew you were hurting.

I’ll never forget the day you left,
I held you in my arms and cried for
I knew God had called you home.

You rest my friend, for someday
we will meet again.
There will be no more pain,
just happiness and peace for both of us.

I LOVE YOU LADY!
