Armstrong died today after a short illness. He died in our arms, surrounded by love, his big head in my lap.
It was a gentle walk to the other side.

Armstrong was a big, strong airedale. He loved to slam his head into you for hugs. He was big, but gentle, a true gentle giant. A true gentleman.

Armstrong loved life, he lived for his games with his brothers, Cussy, Teddy & Pepsi, his wrestles with his dad Tony. He LOVED his food, especially cookies & marrow bones.

If only we could be more like him. Strong but gentle, fiercely brave & loyal, yet sensitive. Thoughtful but full of fun, live every day to the fullest. Armstrong you taught us so much.

I will try to live up to being the person
that he thought I was.

“Armstrong, you will always be my forever dog. Be at peace, be happy, play hard with your brother Cussy. I will see you again one day.”

Until then, know that you are missed beyond words. Know that you walk with me in my heart…forever.

With love, my furbaby, my sweet dog.,
Joy & Tony Austin
