Do you know how much I miss you? You did your job so perfectly. I always said that your job was to be my lap dog. You were my loyal, unconditional friend, always curled up beside me. I needed you to touch as much as you needed me to pet you. It is more painful than I expected, not having you after 14 years coming to us as a puppy.
I don’t know how long it will be…. before I get used to not having you happily meet me when I come home, and feel you at my legs on my bed.
My constant compaion and friend, you must know I had you put to sleep only because I loved you. Until we meet again…
