For Daisy,

When the rain is falling and I’m overcome,
With the doubts and demons of things undone,
No one need remind me that you were the one…

Oh, I’ll remember you all my life,
Our bond that set me free to love you so.
Whatever became of you and I,
I will still believe,
That once upon a time, a dream came true,
Whenever I remember knowing you.

Not a single moment, not a single hug,
Would I have traded, would I have missed.
No other friend could ever move me like this.

It’s not that I don’t feel the pain, as deep as pain can be.
As I will never forget the joy
Your faithfulness has brought to me.
What you’ve given me will last forever,
I refuse to lose the treasure,
Of you inside my heart eternally.

I’ll always feel the closeness we once knew
As long as I remember loving you.
Oh, I’ll remember loving you, my sweet girl,
Oh, I’ll remember you the rest of my life.

‘Til we meet at the bridge,

In Loving Memory, July 25, 2005

If a cat indeed does love, you did!
Thank you for being my greatest teacher,
