There are so many little stories that I can reflect on……You… Lady, had the long eye-lashes, and a beautiful smile; you could jump the higest fences, and chew the hardest wood and some metal too, yet you were always afraid of thunder and firecrackers. You loved to sleep in our bed, and would even edge us into the corner while you slept in the middle.
You were our protector during the dark days after Hurricane Andrew in August 1992, and beyond. We shall always love you. Silverbullet, you were Lady’s son, silver like the “silver winter” wolves. Your eyes held wisdom, but unreadable. Beautiful, serene eyes, like the Siberian Huskey, yet you were a Chow. You patrolled the entire house at nights, taking time to make sure every one was safe in bed and asleep.
Then you would spend hours at the window looking out into the night. Next hour, you’d repeat the whole ritual until daylight. You instinctively knew when I was ill. You’d refuse to leave my side. You’d jump into the bath tub twice a day for a shower. Your Dad would love it., afterall, he taught you that trick when you were just a pup. Silverbullet, you will always be in our hearts. We will always love you Both……..
In our Hearts and Memories,
you will always remain.
