by Mary Bowman / My lap is so empty without you!

I met my Geoffrey when I was visiting a friend. He had been found as a little kitten and was so starved that even the vet didn’t think he would make it. He had become a “neighborhood cat,” although no one was taking responsibility for him. I knew instantly that he was destined to become a part of my family.

Geoffrey lived with me for 6 years, until he died suddenly one afternoon. He went from a starving kitten to a 22 pound tabby cat. In that time, he became more than a part of my family – he became a part of my soul.

I will miss Geoffrey terribly but I am comforted in knowing that he is back with his best friend Fang, and together they are holding
a spot for me at the bridge.
