Kodi, I fell in love with you the first time I laid eyes on you when you were 1 week old. At 6 weeks, you became an important part of our family when you came to live with us.
You were my constant companion and friend. I will always remember our vacations and camping trips all over the country. I will always remember our walks in the woods and along Lake Michigan.
Life is already lonely without you. You were always the lady; gentle, sweet, quiet, well-mannered. Your tricks made everyone smile. Your large, brown, expressive eyes captivated everyone. You were so beautiful inside and out.
I believed, when I took you to the animal hospital, that I would be bringing you home the next day. You always trusted me. Putting you to sleep was the hardest thing I’ve done in my life.
For 12 years you blessed our family.
I will love you always.
