Bobby was our “nanny”. Our caretaker. With me especially. I am a diabetic and he watched me like a hawk. He knew when I was in some danger and would warn me in someway.

When anyone in the family was ill he would stay by their bedside until he was sure they were ok.

My fondest memory is when our eldest son Anthony came home on leave for the weekend from the army. He didn’t leave Ant’s side for a moment. He made sure Anthony wasn’t disturbed while he was sleeping.

He also cared about the other pets in our family. He never tolerated any silliness or mischief on anyones part. If playing around got out of hand with the humans or pets he stepped in and “scolded” us all.

I miss him so very much.
He was my shadow and now he’s gone.

Bye my sweet boy. I will see you one day again and I know you will be there to greet me.
