My sweet Starry girl. What a beautiul Rottweiler you were. So strong & happy. You were so independent, yet you followed me around the house just so you could always be close to me. As a puppy you loved to play & get into anything & everything! What a silly girl you were. It always looked like you had a smile on your face. Nothing ever got you down. When you were 7 years old you were diagnosed with diabetes, a short time later you began to lose your eyesight. Even then, you didn’t let it get to you. You seemed just as happy as ever. I wish I could be half as strong as you were. You were truely amazing. You loved your daddy & he adored you. You were a true “Daddy’s girl”.
You went so many places with us, so many different states. It was all so much fun because you were with us. You were always very special to us. You came to live with us when we were married just less then one year. What a cute, tiny little puppy you were. Who would have ever guessed how much you would grow. Then one year later we brought Jeffrey home to live with us also. He became your best friend. You two shared so many wonderful days. For 10 1/2 years you two were inseperable. What a wonderful life you had.
I am so sad that you are not here by my side today. I chose you from your littermates when you were no bigger than the size of my hand….I held you & said “this is the one”. Then when it was time to let you go, again, I held you in my hands until you took your last breath. I am so thankful that I was with you when you were a tiny little puppy, even though you were too young to come home with me…still I knew you were meant for me. And then I was also able to be with you, to hold you when you passed. I wanted to be the last scent, the last sound, the last memory. I am so blessed to have been a part of your life, from beginning to end. We will never, ever forget you. My sweet beautiful Cookie.

In loving memory
