Our Handsome Jeffrey. You were always so very special to us. From the first day that you came to live with us in November 1994 you were very special to us. You became my best friend, my protector, my shadow, & my confidant. Always there for me. I remember the cute little things that you did as a puppy & it seems as though you never outgrew most of those precious things. Your daddy & I always said you seemed to have been born with an “old soul”. You always “pranced” around & seemed to keep a smile on your face. You were never a bad puppy, never chewing on things are getting into trouble or even hard to house train. What a perfect boy you were. Always a gentleman. (Others reading this may not understand the “gentleman” comparison but trust me….if you had known Jeffrey you all would agree!)
You were so very, very special to me & I would have done anything to save you. But the cancer took it’s toll & God said it was time for you to go be with him. The day that we had to let you go was the hardest day of our lives. How can you say goodbye to such a dear & loyaly friend? You can’t! You simply say “we will see you later” because I know we will see you again one day in Heaven. You fought the good fight Jeffrey & I am so very proud of you. I miss you so much & it hurts so bad not having you here with me but I know that in spirit you will be with me forever. I will never let the memories fade. We shared some wonderful times together. All of the vacations, trips to doggie park, swimming trips, rides in the truck, trips to the woods where you loved to run & play, & even the lazy days at home. All of those days are special to me because we spent them together. Star misses you too. She seems lost without you. You two were so cute together. We always called you her “seeing eye dog”. We will take good care of her for you. The kitties miss you too. Our home will never be the same without you, neither will our lives.
You will never be forgotten big boy! We will love you forever. You were truly one of a kind. My handsome & ever so gentle Jeffrey. I love you boy.
