It was a semi warm day October 5, 2004. I had my nephew here..6 month old Joey. It was one of his fussy days and I couldn’t get out of his site. My dad in law was doing what he always does ALL day..sleeping. Chili was doing her usual bouncy dance..running back and fourth at the door..the signal she had to go out. I let her out to use the bathroom and a few minutes later..my pug and cocker spaniel came back..but no chili.

I opend the door to call her..the baby still crying everytime i tried to go out the door..after about half hour of screaming for chili..my father in law decides to finally get up and take the baby..telling me to go find chili. I got in my car..drove to the end of my driveway..and there she lay. Someone had hit her and laid her in the grass. Heartbroken I took out the only thing I had in my car..my leather jacket. picked up Chili..wrapped her like a baby , put her in my lap and drove home.

In tears I called my husband at work and told him he needed to come home and help me. He came home right away ..and helped me bury my precious Cchili. I put her in a box..and gently placed her in the hole he dug for me. I couldnt stop the tears.Chili had a very sweet personality..and bold at the same time. she was a 7 pound chihuahua that protected her mommy. She slept with me and was very loving to me.

Chili will be dearly missed and loved forever! Here it is weeks later..and i still cry myself to sleep at night from missing her so much.

I LOVE YOU CHILI DOG,
Teresa
