Harley came to us in April 1994 from the Staffie rescue here in England. We were told she was between 3-5 years old, we guessed middle of the road and opted for 4 years old. That made her about 15 years old when she left us on her final journey to Rainbow Bridge.

She had never played with toys, didn’t seem to know how to and she only ever barked once in her life when she met a hedgehog. However, she was the most wonderful, loving companion I ever had, always by my side, everywhere I went so did Harley, I really miss that.

We have 2 other dogs who have lived with her for most of her life and they really miss her too. The pain we went through when she left broke our hearts, mine shattered into a million pieces, I doubt if
it will ever mend completely.

It was raining that morning, she was so poorly and I had to take her to the vets in the hope that they could help her pain. They did try but she had a tumour which was inoperable and so I had to let her go.

I wonder if someone saw a little Staffie winging her way to Heaven, to peace and freedom from all her pain, I hope so. A light went out on earth that day, but a new star shone in the sky that night, that star will light my way for the rest of my life and guide me when I go through the storm.

Harley, my sweet girl, my beautiful angel – we will never forget you and your unconditional love will live in our hearts forever. Sweet dreams little lady………….until we meet again.

We gave you the greatest gift........our unconditional love.
