Callie was a stray dog that my sister-in-law almost run over with her car. She got out of the car and asked the young women whose house was the closest where the dog had come from? The women stated that the puppy was from a female dog, not belonging to her, who had had puppies under her house. My sister-in-law was staying with my husband and I at the time. She brought the puppy home,
who was infested with fleas.
When my sister moved out she was unable to take the dog with her. We kept callie for almost three months, and treated her with nothing but love, and got the very same back. She had no papers, or even was she full bloodied,
but she was ours.
Callie’s life ended one afternoon after being hit by a car. It was a terrible loss for both my husband and I. I am not sure where pets go when they die, but I have to hope that they are met by GOD’s loving arms, their creator. We miss you callie, and maybe someday will see you agian. Until then know you are always in our heart and minds.
