Candi our beloved Shih Tzu was euthanized on New Year’s Eve 2000 after suffering from lymphoma. She was ten years old and I had known her for nearly eight of those years. My wife raised her from weaning.
Though she is gone from our sight she lives on in our hearts. She taught us about many things in life but especially about unconditional love. She was a second mother to our children and was always glad to see us good day or bad.
I really wish we could know what caused her to get the lymphoma and if there was anything we could have done to prevent it but our vet says not enough is known of this disease.
Candi was so special we needed to get two dogs to fill the void Zoe a black Lab and the children’s dog and Heidi another Shih Tzu girl for the wife and I. They are each three months old as I write this and we love them dearly but will never NEVER forget our Candi girl.
