On Sept. 30, 1996 we were driving past a McDonald’s near a major highway & we saw a puppy who seemed to be lost. I stopped the car and the puppy who appeared to be about 7 months old came right to me. I lifted her up and brought her home. WE asked around & no one answered our ads. I have never regretted this decision to keep this wonderful dog. She seemed to know what I was thinking & always gave me love when I needed it. She was always waiting for me when I went out and slept with me at night. I always called her “my baby girl” and she seemed to know how loved she was.
On February 27, 2005 she seemed not to feel well & I told my husband that we would take her to the vet the next day which was a Monday. That morning a snowstorm was predicted so we took her to the vet first thing in the morning. He told us that she had pneumonia & gave her a shot & told us to bring her back that afternoon.
Unfortunately my girl did not make it & died early that afternoon. I have had other dogs in my life but she was so special. My heart is still breaking almost 8 months later. The only thing that keeps me going is the fact that I believe we will meet again
some day at the Rainbow Bridge.
With everlasting love,
