Charlie just showed up at my house in 2008,he was very fearful. He seemed to bond with one of my other strays Simie so I started feeding him.
He would not let me near him but he never went far from my home. I figure he was at that time about 10 years old. He and Simie became best Buddies, where ever Simie went he followed. Then back in June 2013 he lost his best friend when Simie got hit by a car.
It took him awhile to adjust to her being gone. But with time he started being Charlie again and became more friendly with me. We had some very cold days so I bought him a little house to sleep in and as soon as I put it out by my front door he went directly inside and from that day on that is where you would find him fast sleep. He started greeting me at the door everyday to eat his meals and then on February 8 th 2014 I could not find him anywhere. I thought something was wrong. On February 11, 2014 I found him dead under a big bush outside my fence. DO not know how you died but I hope you did not suffer. I am so Happy you got to enjoy your little house for several months. You will always be remembered!
