Today was one of the saddest days of our lives. We had to say goodbye to one of our beloved family members.
For 15 years he gave us joy, love, and faithfulness.
Chewy was our first pet together, and he was a special dog. Never afraid, never fearful, a never ending source of love. I stayed with him until the end. He fought to live just as he always had. I gently touched his soft face and whispered, “It’s alright to go now boy. Your job here is done. Mommy will be alright.”, and then he passed. I look up to the stars and see that one if a bit brighter tonight…it must be him looking down from Heaven…watching over us still.
