Chico & Val you were my best friends. Years have passed since
you both left but tears still come to my eyes when I think of all our
special times. I miss you. Wait for me.

My Gift to Jesus
I wish someone had given little Jesus a cat & dog
as loyal & loving as mine
to sleep by His manger & gaze in His eyes
& adore Him for being divine.
As Our Lord grew to manhood His own faithful cat & dog
would have followed Him all through the day
while he preached to the crowds & made the sick
well & knelt in the Garden to pray.
It is sad to remember that Christ went away
to face death alone & apart,
with no tender cat & dog following close behind
to comfort its Masters heart.
And when Jesus rose on that Easter morn,
how happy He would have been
as His cat & dog kissed His hand & meowed & barked their delight
for the One who died for all men!
Well the Lord has a cat & dog now; I just sent Him mine,
the old pals so dear to me.
And I smile through my tears on this first day alone,
knowing they're in eternity.
