Chloe by Margaret / Mom

I got Chloe from the SPCA. She came to us from a family that kept her crated 10 hours a day. We allowed her to roam our 5 acres of property which she somehow knew the boundaries to
within days of being with us.

Chloe was our protector. She was a wonderful watchdog who slept on the couch in spite of my spouse not wanting her too. I would let her in our bed too when he wasn’t around. It was our secret.

Chloe died last Fall protecting us and her property. A Buck had wandered onto the property and Chloe went to chase him.

Normally the deer would run from her, however, this was rutting season and this one didn’t back down. It speared my beautiful Chloe right through the head. By the time I called the hospital to tell them we were coming, Chloe slipped away. I don’t think she felt any pain because she just layed there staring.

We buried her up on top of our property which is now referred to as Chloe’s mountain. A more wonderful, loving dog never lived. I miss her everyday and wait for the day I will see her again.

You Are Forever In My Heart Chloe.
I Love You!
