Chloie by Angela, Gary, Dylan, Alex / Chloie’s Mommy

Chloie was a Christmas gift to our sons when they were 10 and 7. What a fantastic day that was! They had been begging for a dog.
She stole our hearts immediately. Even though her ‘Dad’ took a little longer to warm up, he soon did and forever loved on his best friend. She never growled, never bit ANYONE and just smiled all the time for no reason other than we were there.
Who could possibly ask for anything more? Everyone loved Chloie and because of my love for her I felt compelled to save other animals. Many animals are alive today and in loving homes because of Chloie .
I will honor her life by continuing to rescue animals.

Chloie loved food and battled a few chubby periods in her life but we worked hard to keep her healthy and active.
Chloie especially loved tomatoes, apricots, apples and carrots. I would call her my little pony . She loved long walks in the field behind our house with her Daddy. She slept in her ‘baby bed’ next to ours but whenever she wanted in our bed we would bring her in to cuddle.

On Sunday before Christmas I noticed Chloie’s breathing appeared rapid . She was at the vet the next day and diagnosed with pneumonia and sent home with antibiotic. It never occurred to us she would not get better. But she didn’t . We were in the emergency pet Clinic late Christmas Eve and we had to make the heartbreaking decision to let her go on Christmas afternoon.

Our lives will never be the same without her. She was love and joy and she made our family real and whole. I thank God we had her.

All things bright and beautiful, all creatures great and small. All things wise and wonderful, the Lord God made them all.
