In September 2000 my son found a little Beagle wandering the streets with no collar or id. We put ads in the paper but had no response. The vet said she appeared to be about 5 years old but she had stomach problems. This is probably why someone just dumped this wonderful and special girl who we named Cindy. We learned to cope with and treat her various ailments and I believe she was truly happy with us. I think she appreciated and knew that we rescued her and gave us endless and unconditional love in return.
In April 2005 we took her to the vet because she seemed not to feel well. We were told she had lung tumors. We made the last two months of her life the best we could. We took her to the beach and the park and when she got worse we carried her outside to enjoy the sun. On June 6, 2005 we had to make the decision to end her suffering.
My heart was and is still breaking with grief because I miss my little girl so much. I truly believe I will see her and my other departed pets again someday in Heaven for all eternity.
With everlasting love,
