Clyde had a personality of his own. He had hip dysplasia & at times couldn’t hardly move. But when his daddy, brother & sister left for the day, he made his way up to the back steps at our back door & laid there until someone was home with me. If I worked in the yards…he was right there lying where he could see me. He was the most precious dog I’ve ever owned. He had a different bark for each incident. One “ruff” for someone stopping out front…a more aggressive “ruff, ruff” for someone driving in the yard. We had been gone approximately an hour Saturday night, came home & his stomach was distended, called the vet & headed for surgery. We had never experienced this before. He never let on like he was sick. Even on the way to the vet. He laid down…lifting his head twice and was gone. This was all within an hour. So, please, watch for the signs! I miss him so very much & haven’t stopped crying yet.
He truly was my best friend!
We Miss You Buddy!
