Coker by Christy Cogdill / Momma & Dad

What a beautiful boy you were…he was a she when he was purchased from a pet store….when she was taken to be spayed, the truth came out…Coker…was indeed a male….I had this baby for 15 years…and he can only be described as a little boy with a BIG ATTITUDE!! He was a declawed hunter who gave many moles and field mice heartattacks..he loved to be put up in a tree and left there…he would stay until you went and got him down…he wasn’t a roamer…
he just loved the great outdoors…

He also liked laying on the waterbed because it was warm. He was an indiscriminate biter and everyone knew this..One of my landlords had an autistic daughter and Coker was her friend…She could do things to him that I couldn’t even imagine doing..and he would just lay
there and play possum….

He loved to play “swat your hand”, hide and seek, and any other game that was interesting to him. He loved catnip…of course with Coker, it should have been called catnap…he would curl up with it and sleep for hours.

He couldn’t meow…he could only “WOEM”. I hope that now in Heaven he can meow right…He was awesome and I miss my little man…even though he acted like he didn’t like his moma…I knew better…

He was great friends with BIG’N and when she passed, he went and hid under the bed and for about a week, I had to dropper feed him. He was in intense mourning for her…he had even forgiven her for snatching
his SHEBA on occasion..

We bought our house and moved in in October 2001 and we knew Coker’s days were numbered. He stayed with us for a month and wandered around in his new home..He was so sick and needed to go home, but I would have given anything to
have had more good years with him….

Coker, I hope you are still enjoying your Sheba in Heaven and pointing out the cheese in the big icebox in the sky to God just like you did with us…You were precious and I will keep you forever in my heart until the day I get
to see you again….

Keep up the attitude and we love you and miss you!!
