The Gentlest Eyes
On a cold snowy evening
My life changed direction a few degrees
and one of my fears was erased forever
As I approached the little rascal of change,
his eyes compelled me to take action
telling me “Include me in your life”,
“You will not regret it”
Though the fear of him had a fair grip on me
his gentle eyes obliterated all doubts
Without another thought
I open my arms
my home, my life
to my loyal friend and guardian angel
