Copper by Candice / Mommy

I adopted my dog Copper from a school. He was a resident teaching dog for a veterinary technician program. When I brought him home the first time I knew that he was meant for me. During my second year of college I discovered a lump growing on his hind leg and later discovered that it was a mast cell tumor. I had it removed, but it grew back 6 months later. I watched as Copper’s quality of life diminished and came to a most difficult decision. So on August 26th, at 9:30 pm, my beloved Copper was laid to rest in the arms of his loving mommy.

I miss him very much and I know that there are many others out there that will miss him too. Copper had touched so many people’s lives. He was one very special dog.

A most sorrowful goodbye.
