Chihuahua
I recently wrote to tell you about my loss.
Xena was her name but now I want to tell you about Dingo.
He’s my new friend. I got him a few days ago I just
couldn’t deal with the loneliness I felt after Xena died.
Dingo is a male Chihuahua. He’s six months old and has many colors.
It’s called brindle. Dingo is loving and affectionate and seems to
somehow understand when I’m missing Xena.
He just sits there on my lap looking at me with pity in his eyes.
He won’t play or wag his tail until I’m feeling a little better.
It’s like when you want to comfort a friend but you don’t know
what to say so you just sit with them.
It’s helped me so much having him here.
My mother bought him when she saw how I suffered
after Xena left me.
Dingo is my new buddy not to replace Xena,
but to help me remember her
without crying.
