My Dooley was very special in a lot of hearts.
I didn’t want Dooley when he was giving to me.
He was very abused by little kids and only 3 lbs he was a
mess he was white but his hair was a mess and
he was full of fleas.
I was visiting my ex daughter -in – law she had 3 small
children my grandchildren.
No time for Dooley so off we went he was so scared
he sat on my chest all the way home which was 300 miles
and fleas where biting me and Dooley was shaking.
When we arrived to my house we where both a mess.
He had 3 baths that night and was still a mess
So off we went the next day and poor Dooley
had to be shaved of all his hair.
He creeped into my heart inch by inch he was so good.
Well My Dooley lived to be short of 3 weeks of being
20 years old he was 1 year when I got him.
Oh we traveled everywhere and he became the center of
my heart and when I made doll clothes for the kids,
my Dooley had to wear them so he had an outfit
for every Holiday and became the king of the house.
He also became the king to all of my family.
He loved to visit everyone and he gave kisses to all.
He was so happy as if he had found his home and
was never going to leave it .
He was my love and the day that My Dooley
had to be put to sleep was the day I will never forget.
He knew he had made me happy he took his pills and
all his haircuts in stride even the cleaning of his teeth.
He was my love and I will always picture him in my mind
in so many ways he grew up with all my grandchildren
and all my family.
Never a visit goes by when someone will remember my
My Dooley
And he had a way of being in all the pictures taken.
My Dooley even has a picture on the wall of his vets,
they said he was the best and oldest dog they ever had.
He left his memory everywhere and the cards and
calls I got I have in a book.
His vet never charged a penny when it was time for him to go
and we where all in tears but knew it was time.
He gave me so much and in my heart is a spot where
My Dooley will always live.
It has been 4 years now and another dog is in my house,
but My Dooley remains the king.
I have a poem someone wrote for him and pictures in frames.
My Dooley shared all my hurts and all the happiness so
he was met to be My Dooley
Mary…..
