Dunstan by Cathy Lippincott

Dunstan came to our family when he was 3 months old. The breeder wanted to put him down because of a heart murmur, but a friend rescued him and gave him to us. The vet had told us we would only have him 7 months maybe 8 at the most with the heart murmur. He brought joy into our families lives; he weighed in at 165 lbs
near the end with the CHF.

He lasted about 1 month after we started him on lasix and he died peacefully with me by his side at the age of 3 years and 6 months old. Peope used to say he looked like a deer laying in our front yard, but it was just Dunstan sunning himself in the yard.
