In memory of my Grandfather’s girl, Elka. I didn’t get to know her, but I have lots of pics and my Grandpa often talks about her. She loved chasing squirrells, she adored the snow, and she despite her size she thought she was a lap dog. Helping Elka to cross to Rainbow Bridge was one of the hardest decisions ever for my Grandfather.
Although there is no bond between me and Elka, the strange thing is that my dog Luna’s birthday is April 24th! That somehow touched me a lot!
She will never be forgotten.
May she chase lots of squirrels up there,
and may she dance in the snow.
