Flicker by Brenda Pelletier / Mommy and Daddy

Flicker was such a special boy. He came to us from the woods; he hardly had fur. He was skinny he was afraid. He finally let me touch him. I took him to the vet; he put him about 6 months due to his baby teeth. He with time just blossomed into a beautiful cat. He was so handsome, so gentle and such a smoocher. He loved his Daddy. Daddy would give him his belly rub. Boy he loved that. He also loved bacon, that was his favoritefood of all time.
He and his new friend Rascal became such good friends. Rascal and Flicky were always together. They loved to play especially at night when we were sleeping. Sounded like wild horses coming through.

We miss him so much. He would be here today IF I didn’t let him have one more run around the house like he did at mid morning I would have my Flicky. A raccoon was out and shouldn’t had been. He met his fate that beautiful April day. My heart has not healed and won’t. I wish I could go back but I know I can’t. I just hope Flicky and God forgives me for not protecting him.

Flicky mommy is so sorry. You are a good boy. You did no wrong. You should have not been out that one more time. I hope you forgive me, Flicky. Mommy can’t forgive herself and never will.

Please, Flicky, Mommy and Daddy hurt for you; we love you so much. We hopefully will all be together some day. Mommy will never say goodbye, Flicky, only till we see
each other someday. Rascal misses you, too. You were and still till this day, were her only friend. Remember, Flicky, you are a good boy and did nothing wrong.
Mommy loves you, Flicky.
