TO MY WONDERFUL FAMILY
Hello my dearest family this is Buttons your little boy,
I'm the little pup God sent to you to fill your hearts with joy...
He knew how you hurt after Muffin left and you hated to be apart,
He sent me to you to help heal the pain that was so deep in your heart...
Muffin will always be your little girl and I'll always be your little man,
Even though we're not there to hug you now our life with you was so grand...
Remember the days when we had such fun and we played throughout the day,
I had my favorite toy my red white and blue bally and on your lap I loved to lay...
I loved my goodies such good treats everyone would give them to me,
All the kids would come over and play with me and I loved them all you see...
I was scared of the thunder and lightning too then you held me oh so tight,
You would put me at ease as you cuddled me close whether it be day or night...
One of my favorite things that you can't forget those bananas were oh so good,
I would get you to feed the bananas to me and I always knew you would...
I looked forward to night time as I slept close to you just as close as I could get,
I would wait on our bed till you got settled in and then get myself all set...
You would laugh at me when I ran through the house I was having so much fun,
I hated a bath and when I heard the word away and off I would run...
But when it came to the toothbrush and yummy toothpaste that I liked you see,
It tasted so good I would lap it up and my teeth were as pretty as could be...
I was your sweet and gentle fur baby and I loved you very much,
It's wonderful here at the Rainbow Bridge but I miss your gentle touch...
When you think of me think happy thoughts and please try not to cry,
I live on in your heart and you can feel the glow yes you really can if you try...
I was everyone's friend and everyone loved me I would play and kiss and hug,
But my favorite thing was watching my Mommy from my very special rug...
I loved to lay in the warm summer sun on the deck out in our yard,
I would pretend to be a watchdog and my family I would guard...
So along with my friend your sweet Muffin girl I'll be watching over you,
You have two guardian angels the fur baby kind guiding everything you do...
Someday we'll look up both Muffin and me and we know just what we'll see,
The family who loved us throughout our lives and together forever we'll be...
