Ginger
(Sweetie Dog) by Jackie Dupee / Mama

Ginger, you were and still are the light of my life. My little sweetie dog and little yapper, you were 10 pounds of little spitfire. Always ready to love people and kitties and attack other doggies. Sleeping by my side, going for walks, and being my little buddy. You were more than a dog…you were a little person. When I talked to you, you understood. You loved car rides, going for walks and just being with mommy.

How I loved it when I called your name and your little yorkie head would pop up in the car window, anxiously looking for me. How I miss that now. When you were first diagnosed with kidney failure, you rallied and was the miracle dog! However, a year later, it was obvious you were failing and it was time for you to go to Doggie Heaven. You were ready but mommy wasn’t. In the end, I did the humane thing and held you in my arms as you passed. Your little spirit will live on forever in my heart. I can’t wait until we meet again at the Rainbow Bridge.
