Girly,
Tall and white, a lady indeed,
one floppy ear and four flat feet
dark eyes like the deep sea
a treasure full of secrets,
claiming me
she landed on my lap
and stayed –
clever and fast,
she took what was
rightfully hers:
meat from the table
and our bed;
helplessly fallen for her charms
we surrendered gladly to her love
she withered away,
no one knew her age
white lily had given us all
and found her final rest in my arms.
