My Beloved Cat Grace”
To my precious baby girl Grace.
Your peace is from God so deep inside.
Your laughter and joy is in your face
Your grace and spirit is in your eyes
Your honesty and kindness is in your heart
Your patience and humility is in your soul
I will always love you baby Grace
No one will ever take your place
In my heart I see your face
it is in God’s special space
I Can’t Cry Hard Enough
I’m going to live my life
Like every day’s my last
Without a simple goodbye
It all goes by so fast
And now that you’re gone
I can’t cry hard enough
No I can’t cry hard enough
For you to hear me now
I’m going to open my eyes
And see for the first time
I’ve let go of you like
A child letting go of his kite
There it goes up in the sky
There it goes beyond the clouds
For no reason why
I can’t cry hard enough
No I can’t cry hard enough
For you to hear me now
I’m going to look back in vain
And see you standing there
When all that remains
Is just an empty chair
And now that you’re gone
I can’t cry hard enough
No I can’t cry hard enough
For you to hear me now

A PRAYER FOR A LOVED ONE
Lord, be her shepherd,
Keep her with the flock,
Watch her and tend her,
Be her solid rock.
Don’t let her falter,
Don’t let her fall,
Wait with her, Father,
Be there for her call.
Hold her hand firmly,
The path grows so steep,
Wipe her tears gently,
Should she start to weep.
Teach her to follow,
In Your humble way,
Help her to walk,
In Your shadow each day.
Strengthen her body,
Weaken her will,
Should she deny You,
Stay with her still.
Give her Your shoulder,
On which she may rest,
Embrace her warmly,
Next to Your breast.
Please place Your hand,
Upon her dear head,
And give her Your blessing,
As her spirit is fed.
Quiet her mind,
Comfort her soul,
Put peace in her heart,
Make her life whole.
Give her a vision,
Of Your tender smile,
Let her feel loved,
All of the while.
