I got Gypsy as a puppy when he was 6 weeks old. I remember him and the other puppies come running out of another room at the breeder’s home. He was the first one to come up to me and my heart melted………he was the one for me!
I had him for almost 9 years, and I loved him so. I would call him my “hairy little baby”, and we had a very strong relationship. He was my buddy, my pal, my littlest child. At home, when the kids were at school, and the husband at work, he would kept me company. When my mother died in “08” and then I had a serious accident, and was laid up for a few weeks, he was there for me. He helped me through the really hard stuff by just cuddling and being there for me was the best thing.
When I had to leave for work (being a flight attendant), knowing he hated for me to leave him, and I didn’t like to leave him, but when I came home from work and through our front door……he was there just waiting for me to come home! He was so happy to see me, and me to see him too! He would run in circles around my feet to show how happy he was to see me. Plus, he loved his belly rubbed when I got home after being gone for a few days. In his sleep, he would snore! How I love to hear that at night knowing my “hairy little baby” is sleeping on the floor next to my bed.
Now the house is quiet without him, and it’s heartbreaking. I loved him so. He was one of my children. My kids miss him so also.
Gypsy, I love and miss you so very much! My heart broke so bad the day I had to say “Goodbye” to you. I hope you are now with God and mom, and keeping her company for me till the day I get to be with you both!
With Love,
Gypsy |
